Mapping My iPhone Space →
Michael Surtees put together a very interesting diagram illustrating the placement of his iPhone apps, which gives a pretty good indication in how he uses his mobile device. He’s classified each app into the following categories: Task, photo, physics, reading, sound and communication. Very encouraging to follow a similar arrangement.

– My all time favorite photography quote by Don McCullin, Britain’s best and most famous war photographer. You can’t help recognize that he sincerely cares about his subjects when he captures them.

My Amazon Kindle 2
I’ll accept that I was strong in not publishing my initial impression of the Kindle 2 within the hours of receiving it and stayed true to that decision seeing that I had not established a genuine relationship with the device yet. After spending a full week relaxing, reading and effortlessly purchasing books on it, I can’t tell you how convenient this thin 10 oz piece of technology has...

Spezify Search Tool →
Spezify is a very cool search tool from which I’ve become a compulsive user of. It doesn’t just present you with endless lists of blue links that are not always too appealing to look at but instead it’s quite the visual eye candy when it finds what you’re looking for.
The search feature offers a very intuitive experience, where it snags information from all media types,...

Copy & Paste on the iPhone →
When the iPhone was introduced, one of it’s biggest setback pointed out by everyone who had already become enamored with it anyway despite it’s inadequacies, was the absence of the cut & paste feature. Of course the question was, why hadn’t Apple introduced this initially.
A way around this involved me taking notes of something I came across while browsing on the iPhone and...

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen ★ ★ ★ ★ ½
I’ve never been one to pay attention to movie critics. Yes, they get paid the big bucks, are more involved in the industry so they can perhaps provide a more cogent review of a film but the actual value of it relies entirely on the influence and impression it leaves on me as the audience regardless of anything else.
So despite the negative reviews that one of the most anticipated...

Sporting Kindle Case
Hard Graft, an independent creative company from Austria whose approach to design is as simple and sophisticated as their products has released a Kindle edition case that has caught my eye after recently becoming an owner of the device. It’s made of 100% pure wool felt and it just looks gorgeous. On top, it also has a perfectly placed leather pocket which can hold anything from business...

– Jeff Bartelt sharing an anecdote in reference to making a living from photography and being successful at it. If you’re an avid photographer and are passionate about the craft, the physical act of going out to shoot and work will come natural to you but it’s everything else that comes...

The Tumblr Effect
For me Tumblr has been an amazing platform to use because it allows users to publish random bits of inspiration and has alleviated the pain of feeling that you have to fret over writing drawn-out post to consider yourself a legitimate blogger. You can gather anything you come across online and share it instantly, regardless of what the content is since the service caters to any form of creativity...

iPhone User Facts →
Research company ComScore recently conducted a survey highlighting socioeconomic differences between iPhone and iPod Touch users but what interested me the most was the such accurate description of me ever since I became an iPhone owner 2 years ago.
70 percent are men
50 percent surf the mobile web more than they read newspapers or magazines
More than 40 percent use mobile devices more...

Do You Read Enough? →
We’re all fascinated with being informed and I typically am the kind of person who craves keeping up with current events for the purpose of feeling grounded and knowledgeable. Interestingly enough, unlike all the hurtle of commuters I come across going to work in a bustling city like New York, I personally can’t in every respect think back the last time I carried around a newspaper to...

A few friends reported experiencing some weirdness with my subscription feed lately. Recently I merged the regular post feeds with the photography section with the intent of providing one centralize place to distribute both. In case you’re among the ones coming across this, try unsubscribing to my feed, then resubscribe using the new and final feed address to this site and I apologize for...

Theories On a Mac App Store →
Apple established the iTunes Store as a standard of perfection for delivering seamless downloads of podcasts, television shows, movies and everything else to keep us entertained. Then came the App Store who along with its endless distribution of Apps catering to pretty much any interest you might have or in time developed because of an app you downloaded, spawned a community of passionate...

Quik Pod Impression
The QuikPod is a practical little photographic accessory we purchased to take on our recent trip to Europe. John Bigg’s description of the device is most attracting when he introduces it:
To some, the Quik Pod is a nefarious device used for discouraging human interaction while traveling. To others, it’s a stick to which you can attach your camera to take fairly steady and flattering...

Don't Go To Film School →
I’ve learned more working on film sets and just doing stuff than I’ve learned in any class, any book, any training session, or any lecture. The only way you’re going to learn is by going out there and doing something. Don’t worry about how good your camera is or how powerful your editing software - just do it.
Similar line of thought has been expressed about those seeking to explore a career in...
