1. Back From Los Angeles

So we got back on Monday morning from Los Angeles after a much needed getaway and it was great visiting a good friend we made back in Paris and we thank him for his welcoming hospitality. Well it goes really without saying, but it’s definately true; you have to go at least once. The city is so much a part of American culture, and yet it is so unique among other American cities.

It is almost everything portrayed in the movies; there is extreme wealth, great weather (not so much for us this time around), flashy cars, excellent shopping, and this is contrasted with minor pollution and horrible traffic, much like The Big Apple.

Los Angeles is an odd city. It is a very spread-out city with a lot of different neighborhoods. If you visit L.A, stick to Santa Monica, Venice, Hollywood, Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. Although we had not considered it at first, I highly recommend that you rent a car in during your stay. There are zero cabs on the street and hardly a subway system. Parking is relatively cheap in comparison to New York and our hotel was very accommodating in supplying parking free of charge.

After 2 hours of sorting through too many photos, I selected the ones that highlighted our trip the most. Enjoy!
