1. The Last Templar

In continuing with my quest to squeeze in at least 6 books to read for the year, I’ve just finished reading the second one, The Last Templar.

This book is in many ways a clone of the DaVinci Code. You have the same short chapters, ending on minor cliffhangers that encourage you to read on. And the theme is about the search for a mysterious religious artifact, kept secret by the Catholic Church for centuries.

This book is good, I liked that it jumped between present day and the early days of Christianity. And that it provides some good history on the fate of the Templars, including the leadership. But it seemed … pedestrian just because I felt as if I knew what was awaiting on the following page simply because I recalled story events from Dan Brown’s book. Nevertheless, nice read.
