1. Is Wifi Really Free?

It’s true when they say that nothing in life is free and to that apply this whole concept of being able to stay connected to the online world with “free” wi-fi hotspots. It truly is a whole bunch of crap.

Here I am walking in to Starbucks with iPhone in hand and when a web page finally loads, it prompts me to purchase a pass or monthly subscription to surf the web. The same goes with Borders and to every hotel I’ve been too from Boston to Los Angeles. Where’s the “free” internet access that they talk about? Is this just me being paranoid of something they promote but fail to deliver. Only in one occasion that I give in and paid for an 1hr service of internet access and that was in Paris.
