On The Tyra Banks Show
Without expecting much from it, I headed over to The Tyra Banks Show website one day and filled out an application to attend a taping of the show here in New York City. Days later, I received a call back to confirm the attendance so today Vanessa and I attended the taping in Chelsea studio.
You’ll have to take my word all this because unfortunately they confiscate all phones and cameras during security check. The studio itself was rather small compared to what you see on TV, it gets extremely cold at moments (to compensate for all the lighting inside) and the cameras pointing around and above you was surreal. Although the show is only 1hr in duration, we were inside taping for a good 2hrs but due more to waiting than doing several takes.
The host herself, Tyra, I must say is beautiful and skinnier in person than what we’re accustom to seeing in the media. Producers assured us that because of the small intimate setting, everyone in the audience had a perfect seat for both enjoying the show and being on TV. The topic at hand dealt with infidelity, escort services and former governor Spitzer scandal. This particular episode will be airing in May and I’ll DVR the show to post screenshots of Vanessa and I in the audience.
