Going on Eastern Caribbean
Last time I mentioned vacation, we were still deliberating whether our next one would be a European or Caribbean one. Normally we’ve booked all of our excursions via Expedia but for this one, I needed more information than what you can’t get from a screen so we visited Liberty Travel for booking. We had a blast in Paris & London last summer and I really wanted to replicate the experience elsewhere in Europe but at the moment the travel agent advised that the exchange rate of the Euro is extremely high relative to last year.
So to make a long story short, we booked a 7 Day Carnival Cruise to the eastern caribbean. Countries we’ll be visiting include: Bahamas (Half Moon Cay), St. Thomas, San Juan, Puerto Rico and Grand Turk. We’ll be flying to Miami on July 12th to board.
Never been on a cruise before but from what I hear, activities and amenities onboard are endless. Luckily we’ll only be 2 full days at see out of the 7. Needless to say that despite all the recent talks about the downturn in the economy and how it’s causing Americans to cut back on spending, we figured you only live once and following this vacation, I’ll be embarking upon yet another important stage in my life with my girlfriend which will require being home more.
