Quick Tip: Properly installing RAM on your MacBook Pro
When it came to installing additional (2GB) RAM on my MBP, ordering from Crucial was much more effortless than dealing with small screws and the removal of delicate chips. After thinking I had installed it properly, my laptop would not turn on anymore but instead the power light would just constantly flicker with no response.
Eager for repair, I took it into the Apple store and to make it long story short, the RAM had not been properly installed by me. I had also been told that when installing RAM, you need to make sure that you have your laptop laid on a flat surface while going through this process and not hold it on your lap like I was doing because there’s a chance that you can transfer small charges of electricity from you body to the computer, which can ultimately burn a chip.
