Iron Man
When younger, I was the kind of person that would purchase the latest comic book just for the remarkable artistic work that graced the front covers and perused the pages but never necessarily ended up reading it. I later concluded that comic collecting or reading wasn’t for me but it was this same exposure of knowing who visually the characters were that developed my interested in seeing Iron Man. The trailer itself was phenomenal so I expected nothing less from the film itself and although it took me a while to see it, it was sure as heck worth the wait.
It’s important to mention that this was Marvel’s first independent film project and based on ongoing box-office results, they’ve proven their blockbuster status with this one. The entire plot is very well paced and keeps you pumped every single minute. Can’t say that I’ve ever been a fan of Robert Downey Jr but you can’t help not like the guy with his performance. The action sequences combine with amazingly seamless CGI and the advanced form or technology that Stark has readily available in his home is stunning. I can only imagine Steve Jobs to share a similar setup at his home.
Overall in the end, you walk away with an important message and that is the transformation of a man to a superhero. The story revolves around Tony’s redemption and reminds us of the fact that a man who has everything on the outside can have nothing on the inside.
