More facts are beginning to surface regarding the new 3G iPhone that didn’t necessarily occur to me at first because I was too busy relishing the good news. This is what I’ve come across so far.
- You’ll no longer be able to activate your new 3G iPhone at home via iTunes. The process will be handle at your time of purchase either at your nearby AT&T or Apple Store.
- Online reservations for the phone is not an option so you’ll have to stand on line like everyone else.
- New phone will utlize standard voice and data plans, which means $30 for unlimited 3G data for everyone and $45 for business users. All of this as oppose to the $20 fee that we currently pay for unlimited web and email.
- As I expected, existing iPhone are subject to another 2-year contract when upgrading to new phone.
