Based on random conversations with friends regarding anything having to do with the web, I’ve come to classified myself as a geek or “more web-savvy than others” as a friend put it. Specifically within my own circle and not so much the online community that I participate in. If you’re the type of person that uses online services such as Twitter, Basecamp, Delicious or has constant involvement in the blogosphere, then I’ve come to classify you as a Webber. A person that fully understands the dynamics and endless services that the internet has to offer and what best medium to use to fully appreciate it, such as a good web browser (Safari, Firefox). You’re pretty much connected and well informed with everything and you have an innate urge to check you RSS feeds daily if not hourly.

On the other side of the spectrum, if you’re the type of person that settles for using a shitty browser like IE just because “that’s what came with the computer” and all you do is chat, check emails and don’t even know what the heck RSS is, then you my friend are a Webbie. An inexperienced web user who has no clue how to use the internet efficiently to properly exploit the endless amount of resources it has to offer. While surfing, you probably have multiple windows open and still haven’t found the joy of tab browsing.
