I use Twitter everyday even if my participation includes just being vigilant on what others have to say without me saying a word all day. Quite frankly checking in has become as standard as having a bowl of cereal in the morning but when you come across a new way to enjoy that same routine, you suddenly gain a greater enthusiasm for wanting to continue a process that you suddenly enjoy even more.

As much as I consider myself a faithful Tweetie user, qTweeter - an application available only through the Cydia Store is this ingenious one of a kind status update application that lets you tweet and update your Facebook status like never before.

It is straight to the point, super fast, ultra cool and darn effective. You launch qTweeter by simply sliding your finger down from the status area and can start tweeting right away. Once done, you simply press the update button to update your Facebook status or Twitter or even both. qTweeter saves you the hassle of updating your Facebook status and Twitter separately by doing both for you instantly.

The prime feature of the application is that there’s no need to quit the one you may be using in order to activate qTweeter. Talk about streamlined productivity.

Nikon has just released this amazing App for both beginning photographers and experienced enthusiast where it offers them a new way to access the educational and editorial content found on NikonUSA.com right on their iPhone.

You don’t have to necessarily own a Nikon to appreciate the App because it provides articles on the fundamentals of photography, various shooting techniques and a glossary of those terms you hear a lot about but need more clarification on. This is truly a gem I’m excited to have around and refer to during shoots.

Great crew at Tapku has released a simple little interactive application that gives you a unique approach to experiencing your music albums in the iPhone’s multi-touch environment. Upon launch, it randomly displays your album artwork collection and if you crave for new tunes, you just shake it. Apparently it took longer than usual for the app to be approved but it was worth the wait.

No one can recall everything they come across and there’s been times when I’ve been shopping and see brilliant color schemes on marketing posters or clothing tags that I wish to take inspiration from and apply in a new context. I took photos but rarely did much with them later to extend the concept.

In comes Color Scheme. This beautiful color tool for the iPhone with the ability to create and store palettes created from scratch, or generated from a photo or auto-generated using its built-in color schemer. By far an invaluable tool for any type of designer. Perhaps not as exciting as playing games but mixing colors has become a new thing for me while waiting on line.

» Know Your App Spending

Recently Michael tossed an informal poll asking how much anyone budgeted for the month on iTunes purchases for both music and Apps. Quite frankly I don’t even surpass the $7 mark in a month and the expenditures that are made derive mostly from Apps and I was curious in knowing how much I had invested in them. They’re addicting and convenient little buggers that can get out of hand if you don’t pay attention to how much the prices add up.

Surprisingly enough, there is a free application that tells you just that. It’s called App Store Expense Monitor and it sits discreetly on your status bar.

Upon initial launch, it scans your iTunes folder for “.ipa”-files, extracts the contained information about it and displays the total amount of money you spent on the App Store.

The inventory of Apps that it catalogs is not just limited to purchased ones but it equally displays free Apps that you downloaded as well.

If you’re an organization freak like me, you’ll even appreciate being able to export your entire list of purchased Apps straight into a spreadsheet (.CSV format) to be opened and styled with the Numbers.app for archival purposes.
