Anything is Now Possible
I woke up this morning to find out about Obama’s amazing win not by conventional media but by the addictive and dynamic community of Twitter. Basic instinct took over in me wanting to get the results quick and to the point without all the verbiage from CNN and I was astound as much as any other American seeking for change by the results. Jeff best describes this historic moment in what all this means as it relates to race and future generation:
…we, as a nation, have once and for all moved past our deplorable history of slavery and racism in the most symbolic of ways. That doesn’t mean there is no racism — of course there is, and there may always be — but as a country, we can now stand up and say, “we’re past all that.” And when we tell kids of all races, “in this country, you can be anything you want to be,” we can finally say it with conviction. #

The page will bring together the tools needed to plan a patriotic visit to the nation’s capital during inauguration week by reserving hotels, airline tickets and admission to various activities and tours around the D.C. area.
