Some true side-by-side video quality comparison between Flip Mino HD and the Kodak Zi6. Not the best looking subject to conduct the review but notice the sharpness and contrast that the Kodak pulls over the Mino. The latter barely resembles anything close to true HD quality.
Flip Mino Experience
Having experimented with my brother’s Flip Mino over the weekend, I was pleasantly surprised by the device’s video quality and excellent microphone against background audio. Portability is not an issue because of its compact size, which I warmed up to quick enough and I didn’t have to feel self-conscious about taking it out to use because hardly anyone noticed it in the subway.
As a designer I found the controls intuitive in the same way you managed to operate an iPod without instruction manuals. An HD version has just been announced and although my original intentions in shooting HD video was through upgrading to the Nikon D90, I’m now contemplating my options.
We all look up to celebrities. We admire them, we emulate them and we even one day hope to have their fortune or fame but as much as we love them, it’s fair to admit that the public always thrives in watching a celebrity fail. Such was the case with Britney. Despite her chaotic private life, she’s managed to get her act together and deliver that passion, enthusiasm and body (naked) that she had back then with her Womanizer video.
It feels good to know that more people are beginning to embrace Twitter. More importantly, people that have no direct association with the web or tech industry because it breaks away the notion that this phenomena of Twittering is limited to modern day geeks.
20 Minutes with the Nikon D90: Jason Zada proves that with an amazing camera that renders beautiful HD quality video and a little imagination, home movies will never be the same again. The more of these sample videos I watch, the more I’m convinced that I need it. I’m contemplating trading in my D80.
